AUDA 2016 Winners and Commendations

Congratulations to all recipients of the 2016 Australian Urban Design Awards, and thank you to everyone who came to the award ceremony to recognise these exemplars of great planning and urban design. In a statement for the event, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, a patron of the awards program, said:

We are at our most productive, our most creative, our most innovative when we collaborate – and high quality urban design creates the places and spaces for us to come together.

Urban design and public domain are essential economic infrastructure as we transition to a new and more diverse economy.

The shortlisted entrants for the 2016 Awards include some truly fantastic and innovative contributions to Australia’s urban landscape.

These projects and designs will enhance our cities’ built environments for the people they must serve, and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
